The thorny shrubs of Commiphora Myrrha, growing wildly and naturally in Somalia, actively produce this resin. When these shrubs are cut, they actively release a pale yellow/white viscous liquid from natural cracks in the bark or fissures.
This exudation naturally hardens into a reddish-yellow mass when air-dried, often containing white patches. We actively produce it in three grades depending on the environment in which it grows.
The resin gum obtained from the Commiphora Myrrha tree is indeed a superior resin, also recognized as Myrrh. Myrrh has played a pivotal role in the religious ceremonies of ancient societies, and this tradition continues to this day.
